Categories

The purpose of the database is to understand how different ecosystems attract, onboard, and retain developers. SES is focused on MakerDAO scaling, so we grouped the ecosystems that we thought would be most relevant across three categories:

1. Best in class crypto: crypto ecosystems attracting a lot of devs.
2. Adjacent crypto: ecosystems in relevant categories that have attracted a lot of devs.
3. Anti-pattern crypto: ****crypto ecosystems that have attracted crypto market mindshare, but seem to underperform relative to their hype.

Listed are relevant developer metrics that relate to awareness, onboarding, and retention.
